Buffon Frotas – Fleet Management Platform for Truck Operations

As the UX Designer responsible for Buffon Frotas, I worked on transforming an internal operational need into a complete digital platform for managing the Buffon truck fleet.

The system was created to help logistics managers track fuel consumption, control expenses, monitor drivers, and issue fuel authorizations across multiple routes. Before this solution, much of the fleet’s management was handled manually or through fragmented tools, leading to inefficiencies and delays. My role was to design an interface that brought clarity, structure, and control to fleet operations, while ensuring performance and ease of use for managers who rely on fast decisions and accurate data.

Once the structure was in place, I focused on creating efficient workflows for daily operations. I designed the fuel authorization flow so managers could approve or deny requests in seconds, reducing friction for both drivers on the road and internal teams. I also created detailed vehicle screens showing each truck’s history, performance insights, and consumption patterns, allowing managers to identify anomalies and prevent operational losses. Throughout the design process, I refined interactions, added microcopy to guide users, and introduced visual patterns that helped differentiate critical actions from day-to-day tasks. By validating prototypes with managers and logistics staff, I iterated to simplify the system until it matched the speed and clarity required by high-pressure fleet environments.

The new Buffon Frotas platform significantly improved how managers operated the company’s truck fleet. With a clearer dashboard, streamlined authorization flows, and deeper visibility into expenses and driver activity, the system reduced manual work and improved operational accuracy. The improved UX not only made daily tasks faster but also increased the reliability and transparency of fuel tracking — resulting in more control over costs and better decision-making across the logistics department. My contribution as UX Designer helped transform Buffon Frotas into a strategic internal tool that elevated the company’s fleet management efficiency.
