Working as the UI/UX Designer for Crypto Host, I joined the team during a crucial moment of growth, when the company needed to transform a highly technical Web3 product into a platform accessible to everyday investors. Crypto Host is a Brazilian startup focused on node hosting and Bitcoin mining, offering users the ability to participate in blockchain infrastructure without dealing with complex configurations or expensive hardware.

My responsibility was to translate this entire ecosystem into a clear, trustworthy, and intuitive digital experience. The challenge was to understand how to communicate mining shares, rewards, node uptime, and performance metrics to users who often had little to no technical background, while still supporting more experienced crypto users who demanded transparency, real-time data, and control.

During the project, I conducted user research with groups ranging from beginner investors to small independent miners. These insights helped me identify their frustrations, expectations, and mental models toward Bitcoin mining. With this understanding, I redesigned the onboarding experience to remove friction and uncertainty, introducing a more educational flow that explained concepts like mining shares, machine allocation, and daily payouts in a user-friendly tone. I also structured the information architecture to separate the two main journeys, Node Hosting and Bitcoin Mining Shares, ensuring that users could quickly understand what they were investing in. From early wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes, I focused on clarity, hierarchy, and building trust through visual consistency and transparency.

The redesign had a measurable business impact: the clarity of the onboarding flow and the improved presentation of mining shares directly contributed to an increase in new user registrations, as more people felt confident investing without needing technical expertise. By simplifying the product experience and strengthening transparency around mining operations, the platform gained credibility among new investors while maintaining advanced features for experienced users. My role in the UI/UX of Crypto Host helped transform a complex Web3 service into a more accessible and engaging product, supporting the company’s mission to democratize access to Bitcoin mining in Brazil.
