Feito App – Cashback & Loyalty Platform for Buffon Network

When I started working as a UX Designer and Front-end Developer on the Feito App, part of the Buffon network, I was immediately struck by the opportunity to shape a loyalty platform that brings real value to everyday gas station customers.

Feito is a rewards app that transforms users’ purchases at Buffon stations into instant cashback, points, and credit, deepening customer engagement and strengthening brand loyalty. My mission was to design an experience that felt both simple and rewarding: to make sure customers actually understood how their spending turned into benefits, and to build a front-end that supported a smooth, trustworthy journey from transaction to benefit redemption.

From the beginning, I led the UX research process, conducting interviews with Buffon customers who ranged from regular fuel buyers to convenience-store shoppers. Through these conversations, I discovered common pain points: many users were unfamiliar with how a point-based cashback system works, and some doubted whether the app could reliably convert their points into usable credit. Armed with these insights, I crafted a more educational onboarding flow that demystified the mechanics of the program. I designed screens that explained in clear, friendly language how to accumulate “Feito Points,” how to use them for immediate cashback, and how to convert points into credit to pay later. This helped reduce the barrier for first-time users and built trust in the value of the app.

On the technical side, I built responsive, performance-oriented front-end components to support the app’s core features. I developed a dashboard where users can view their point balance, transaction history, cashback earned, and available credit. I implemented dynamic filters in the activity log so users could easily see how their points were earned and redeemed, which increased transparency and control. To further reinforce trust, I added real-time feedback in the UI — for example, when a user redeems points for cashback, the app confirms immediately with a visual animation and updates the balance. I also worked closely with the backend team to ensure that the front-end accurately reflected data from the server, minimizing any confusion or delay between action and visual feedback.

The combination of intuitive UX, real-time feedback, and a transparent rewards mechanism helped boost loyalty across the Buffon network, encouraging repeat visits and increasing the average participation rate in the cashback program. My dual role as UX Designer and Front-end Developer was instrumental in bridging design and implementation, helping to turn the Feito app into a powerful tool for customer retention and value creation.
